Bluetooth is one of the most widely used wireless communication technologies today.
The most latest Bluetooth technology offers faster data rates and a longer range. Instead of 1MBps, you can now send data at a pace of 2MBps.
This is an 800% improvement over Bluetooth 4.2. The range of Bluetooth 4.2 is four times that of Bluetooth 4.0. Bluetooth 4.0 has a range of up to 60 meters (200 feet), whereas Bluetooth 5 has a range of up to 800 meters (240 meters).
According to Mark Powell, director of the Bluetooth SIG, the Bluetooth 5’s high performance can extend data transmission range and deliver data even at home, even if it is wall-mounted between two transmitters.
Bluetooth 5 expands on Bluetooth 4.2’s capacity to connect to Internet of Things (IoT) devices (Internet of Things). Location-based navigation and navigation will be available in later versions of Bluetooth 5, allowing you to transfer data over Bluetooth without the requirement of proxy apps.
